Strategic human resource management is concerned with the effective application of organization's human resources to accomplish the organization's overall strategies. Some definitions of SHRM emphasize the implementation perspective; while other authors also see strategic human resource management as being integrated with strategy formulation HR strategies are narrow in scope than strategic human resource management. Human resources strategies define the manner in which organization's practices, programs, policies and planning plays important roles either in designing the strategies for the organization or in implementing thereof. It should be noted here that human resources are the only source of sustainable competitive advantage, which is very difficult to imitate or copy.
