Play Incomplete Downloaded Videos in IDM

When downloading video from IDM, some of video remains incomplete and don't allow to resume. Sometimes it stops at 99% or 98% that is very annoying for us. We again download, it start from very beginning, that is time consuming and also entire data is again downloaded.

So, question is how to resolve this problem and answer is very simple. Just follow the steps:

Step I : Open Run and Type

Click 'Start'
- click 'Run' [win XP user]
Search box - type 'Run' Or Right Click start logo- click ‘Run’
Or Keyboard Shortcut "Win log key + R".
-Type ' %appdata% ' [Win 7 user]

Step II : Find where file is

Go to 'IDM' - 'DwnlData' – User (user name)
Now, you see the files which you downloading.

Here each folder is for each downloaded files (generally) whether complete(less in size) or incomplete (large in size).

You can see which file is incomplete by understand files name, Open it.

Though IDM breaks files into multiple files, so you will find one larger file.
(some website doesn't allow multiple download), just follow the image.

Step III : Play the files

Drag and drop each large files in multi-format supported Player like- 'VLC player' or 'Media Player Classic' but Leave the Log file.

Alternative Way:

Step I : Open IDM

Open IDM- Select incomplete file- click ’Downloads’-click ’Options’,
Now select ‘Save to’- See ‘Temporary Directory’- copy the path, like (C:\Users\Username\AppData\Roaming\IDM\)

Open the My Computer/This PC- paste it access bar and enter.
Click ‘DwnlData’- click ’Username’- Now you see these files.

Step II: Open with Media files

Now you click larger KB file in Right click and ‘Open With’ any media player like ‘VLC player’ or 'Media Player Classic'.

Bravo!! Now your incomplete downloads are accessible to you!!
